The department also houses the Human-centered Analytics Lab (HAL) and Gaming Analytics Lab (GAMA).

In addition, our ideal candidate must have demonstrated success in the classroom with an interest in teaching in areas related to IS, OM, and/or Analytics, broadly defined. In addition to its PhD program in Analytics, the ITAO Department offers an undergraduate major in Business Analytics, a Business Technology undergraduate minor, and three Masters of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) programs (a one-year executive-style in Chicago, a two-year dual-degree MSBA/MBA, and a one-year pre-professional South Bend program). The Mendoza College of Business is home to a highly-regarded Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program, for which we offer concentrations in Business Analytics and Supply Chain & Operations Management.

The ITAO Department is an integral part of the University of Notre Dame’s interdisciplinary efforts to make an impact on scholarship and society through data analytics, artificial intelligence, and computationally-intensive research.  There are numerous collaborative opportunities, such as the possibility of affiliate faculty status in other departments, the Lucy Family Institute for Data and Society, the Notre Dame Technology Ethics Center (NDTEC), and also the Center for Networked and Data Science.. ITAO researchers enjoy generous allocations of resources from Notre Dame’s Center for Research Computing and the support of three full-time staff of Mendoza College of Business data scientists and a director of behavioral research who oversees the Mendoza Behavioral Lab.
