    Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management and Analytics
    College of Business at University of Nebraska-Lincoln

    The Department of Supply Chain Management and Analytics within the College of Business at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. We seek outstanding candidates in all areas of business analytics, supply chain management, and operations. This will be an academic year (nine-month) appointment with an August 2023 start date. Salary, benefits, teaching load, and research support are competitive and consistent with other Big Ten universities. Attainment of tenure within the College of Business will require publications in top-level journals. Tenure review is conducted during the sixth year, with a third-year review to provide early feedback.

    Required Qualifications
    Applicants must have a doctorate in supply chain management, operations management, business analytics, operations research, industrial engineering, or a related field (such as econometrics, statistics, or computer science), or will have completed all requirements for the Ph.D. at the time of appointment. Applicants must also demonstrate the potential to publish quality research in refereed journals. Finally, applicants must demonstrate the potential to effectively teach courses in business analytics, supply chain management, or operations management.

    Preferred Qualifications
    Publications in top-tier and high-quality refereed journals are preferred. The ability and desire to teach graduate-level courses, including in an online environment, is also preferred. Finally, work experience in supply chain management or business analytics is preferred.

    About the Department of Supply Chain Management and Analytics
    The Department of Supply Chain Management and Analytics consists of 12 tenured and tenure-track faculty, along with two professors of practice and one full-time lecturer. The department is responsible for teaching the College of Business core courses in Operations and Supply Chain Management and Business Analytics/Information Analysis. The department offers an undergraduate major in supply chain management, as well as a minor in business analytics. At the graduate level, the department teaches courses in the MBA program and offers an MS in Business Analytics and an MS in Supply Chain Management, as well as certificates in supply chain management, business analytics, and supply chain analytics. The department launched a Ph.D. specialization in Supply Chain Management and Analytics in the 2022-2023 academic year.
