    The Department of Operations and Information Management (OIM) in the Wisconsin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, invites applications for an Assistant Professor position in the area of information systems and analytics, to start in August 2023. The OIM department comprises a vibrant, research-active faculty with broad research and teaching interests. We seek outstanding candidates who would complement these interests with high-quality research and teaching in student-centered and collaborative learning environments. We offer a PhD program, multiple MBA specializations, an MS degree in Supply Chain Management, and three undergraduate majors (in Information Systems, in Operations and Technology Management, and in Supply Chain Management). We also have a strong presence in the MS in Business Analytics program as well as in both the Executive and Professional MBA programs. The OIM department is closely affiliated with the Erdman Center for Operations and Technology Management and the Grainger Center for Supply Chain Management, both of which are founded on the principles of cross-functional perspectives and industry engagement.

    Responsibilities:

    –  Create and maintain a strong program of research.

    • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Wisconsin School of Business.
    • Provide classroom and individual instruction for undergraduate and graduate degree-seeking students.
    • Contribute to the intellectual and academic life of the department, school, and university, as appropriate.

    Education:

    PhD in Information Systems or related field required by start date.

    Qualifications:

    Candidates with new or anticipated PhD degree will have a research program under way that is likely to result in publications in top tier journals as well as demonstrable skills that suggest future excellence in teaching.
