Hello INFORMS!
Last week, I attended a webinar of Dr. Taylor where she discussed very interesting topics with us. It was helpful for professionals in analytics and companies working in the social sector. She said that analytics domain isn't for business use only, but it can help you solve any problem. She meant the approach of analytics is of crucial importance. It makes you a problem solver not for business but in general.
Dr. Taylor talked highly about INFORMS Pro Bono Analytics. It connects analytics professionals with nonprofit organizations. One can volunteer and use one's expertise to help nonprofits in solving their problems. She mentioned that many companies have leveraged this initiative to improve their data management, analytics, and solved some serious problems with the help of volunteers. She further talked about INFORMS Editor's Cut. It is a curated collection of expert insights in operations research and analytics. It's an excellent resource to stay up to date with the latest trends and ideas.
She shared that TechSoup is another platform beneficial for nonprofit. It's a fantastic resource for organizations looking to upgrade their tech tools on a budget. Moreover, talking about selling skills she shared the following Resources:
In the webinar, I also shared an additional sales book called Jeffrey Gitomer's "Little Red Book of Selling." This book has been an instrumental support in my overall career, not just the sales role. It highlights 12.5 principles of sales. I got this as a gift from the CEO of ThreeSails. This book would help you in your dealing with a client facing role. I Highly Recommended it! I still carry this with myself.

Lastly, I wanted to share that I find INFORMS a highly useful tool for operations/supply chain professionals. I am grateful to be a part of this platform, would recommend this to my other supply chain peers.
