2025 MSOM Student Paper Competition
Finalists Announcement
**Session Update**
We are pleased to announce the finalists of the 2025 MSOM Student Paper Competition, who have been selected out of a very strong pool of 142 submissions. We would like to thank all the 194 judges who carefully reviewed the submissions over two rounds.
The finalists in alphabetical order are as follows:
1. Borja Apaolaza (UPenn) for "Rented Today, Bought Tomorrow: Buyout Pricing in the Circular Economy".
2. Sara Mohammadi (UCL) for "The NHS Blended Payment Scheme: Incentive Issues and Optimal Reform".
3. Baizhi Song (London Business School) for "Optimizing the Path Towards Plastic-Free Oceans".
4. Lin Zang (Rochester) for "The Impact of Information-Granularity and Prioritization on Patients' Care Modality Choices".
We would like to thank all the students who submitted their work and congratulate the four finalists!
The finalists will present their work during a special session at the INFORMS Annual Meeting in Atlanta (SC45 - Building B Level 3 B305 -1:15 PM - 2:30 PM). The winners will be announced and awarded at the MSOM business meeting.
