The Junior Faculty Interest Group (JFIG) of INFORMS invites submissions to the 2025 INFORMS JFIG Teaching Excellence Award, an annual national award recognizing excellence in teaching in operations research and management science (ORMS). The goal of the Teaching Excellence Award is to acknowledge and celebrate junior faculty who are doing an outstanding job inside the classroom.
The INFORMS JFIG teaching award committee will judge the applications and select 3 finalists. Winners will be announced at the INFORMS Annual Meeting. For the 2025 competition, $500 will be awarded for first place, $250 for second place, and $150 for third place. The prizes awarded by the competition are intended to be a recognition of outstanding teaching accomplishments.
The submission deadline is June 15, 2025, 11:59 PM (Pacific Daylight Time). All submissions should be sent via email with the subject "2025 INFORMS JFIG Teaching Excellence Award Submission" to jfig.informs@gmail.com. Please see the attached PDF for more information.
