Dear Colleagues,
I am writing to announce the winner of 2024 INFORMS Pride Spirit Award. Last year, Pride Forum launched this annual award "to celebrate an individual who has continually demonstrated an excellent spirit of pride. In particular, the award recognizes contributions of an INFORMS member to the LGBTQ+ community."
I am super excited to announce the winner of this year's INFORMS Pride Spirit Award: Professor Chris Parker (Darden School of Business, University of Virginia). Please see the attached document for a snapshot of his amazing accomplishments and contributions. I would reiterate the sentiments of everyone in the award committee (including Jan Ehmke, Dorothee Honhon, and I) that Chris is a very deserving winner, and he has continually demonstrated an excellent spirit of pride.
We will be giving this award to Chris at the business meeting of the forum on Monday, October 21 at the annual conference in Seattle. Please do plan to join us as to celebrate and share your ideas for future initiatives of the forum.
