The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) is now accepting applications for post-doctoral research fellow positions in air transportation. Successful candidates will join an active group of Principal Investigators to work within the Aviation Studies Institute of SUTD. The post-doctoral researchers will be working on developing and analyzing models for evaluating the impact of policy prescriptions in airport systems and air-traffic management (ATM).
An ideal candidate will have a PhD with expertise in one (or) more of the following areas:
- Operations Research, with familiarity in optimization, and possibly in stochastic modeling, dynamic programming, and game theory;
- Computer Science, with a familiarity in design and analysis of algorithms, and possibly in graph theory and social network analysis;
- Data analytics, with familiarity in predictive and econometric models
- Simulation and data visualization.
Familiarity with programming/scripting is essential. Knowledge in aviation systems is an added advantage.
The successful candidates are expected to publish papers in top-level journals and conferences along with other faculty and students. They will receive regular mentorship and training, and will be encouraged to disseminate research findings in major conferences and peer-reviewed publications, and to seek research funding.
