KDD Cup 2020 - Learning to Dispatch and Reposition on an MoD Platform (RL Track) Hosted and Sponsored by Didi Chuxing

KDD Cup is the first and the most prestigious data mining competition, and is an integral part of the annual ACM SIGKDD International Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (KDD). This year, DiDi is elated to host the RL Track in KDD CUP. Based on data provided by DiDi GAIA Program, we invite global talents to develop intelligent strategies to increase the drivers' income on a Mobility-on-Demand platform through order dispatching and vehicle repositioning. A total prize of 30,000 USD will be awarded to the top-ranked teams in this track, who will be invited to present their solutions at KDD 2020, from August 23 - 27.

Tasks

The challenge that the participants are to solve involves a combination of Order Dispatching (Task 1) and Vehicle Repositioning (Task 2) on an MoD platform. The teams are to develop algorithms for either or both of these tasks. They are encouraged (but not limited) to use reinforcement learning methods to solve the problems.
