Hey everyone,
My name is DJ Rich (real name is "Duane", but I prefer DJ) and I just joined INFORMS.
A little bit about me: I recently founded a data science consulting company True Theta . Before that, I worked at Lyft, developing causal forecasting models to help manage their driver/rider market. Before that, I worked in the hedge fund industry, mostly within consumer credit. Before that, I earned a Master's in financial engineering from UC Berkeley in 2014.
I'm also big into education. It's probably the most fun part of this career. I have a YouTube channel, enjoy writing on the True Theta website and only plan to grow these endeavors.
I joined Informs because a few folks at Lyft had really positive things to say. It looked exciting from the outside, so much so I wanted to be on the inside! From what I can tell, this is quite a talented and positive community, so it's a pleasure to be part of it.
