Call for abstracts for the 3rd EURO Working Group Meeting on RETAIL OPERATIONS, May 23th-25th, 2018 in Eindhoven (The Netherlands)
We kindly invite you to submit an abstract for the 3rd EURO Working Group Meeting on Retail Operations on May 23 th–25th, 2018 in Eindhoven (The Netherlands).
The purpose of this EURO Working Group is to advance the development and application of Operations Research (OR) methods, techniques and tools in the field of Retail Operations. We like to offer the global retail community opportunities to present state-of-the-art developments and to discuss current challenges in retail operations.
The theme of the 2018 meeting is 'Retail Operations in the omni-channel age' and our keynote speaker is Professor Santiago Gallino of the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, expert in omni-channel integration and store execution in retail.
We are looking for papers tackling methodologies as well as applications of OR in the field of retail operations, dealing with topics like inventory control, store operations and store management, assortment planning, retail distribution planning, demand forecasting, retail operations and big data, store layout design, food waste at the retail level etc. Our aim is to attract and support researchers and practitioners interested in academic and applied model-based research.
The deadline for submitting abstracts for presentations (link) is: 5th of February 2018
The conference will run in a single track and about 20 abstracts will be selected for presentation.
Eindhoven is easy to reach: it is a 20-minute trip from Eindhoven Airport or a 1.5-hour trip by train from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
