    Tenure-Track Position – Operations and Decision Sciences, Business Analytics

    The Lazaridis School of Business & Economics (Lazaridis School) at Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the Operations and Decision Sciences area, commencing July 1, 2022. Candidates with an established research record of publications in top journals will be preferred. This position is subject to budgetary approval.

     

    Qualifications for the position include a Ph.D. or completion within one year of a PhD in Business, Operations Research, Computer Science or related field and a strong record or promise in both research and teaching in business analytics.

     

    Successful candidates for the position must have:

    • Demonstrated research potential on applications of data science and analytics to business;
    • Ability to publish in top-tier journals and to maintain a highly productive research agenda;
    • Ability to effectively teach core decision sciences and business analytics courses at the undergraduate and graduate (MBA, MMA, MSc, and PhD) levels;
    • Exceptional technical knowledge of data science fields such as AI, machine learning and data visualization.
