    The Canadian Operations Research Society (CORS) conducts a student paper competition to recognize the contribution of a paper to the theory and practice of operations research and operations management. The competition showcases the high quality of OR/OM education and the excellence of the new generation of operational researchers. Prizes are awarded in two categories: Undergraduate and Open.

    Eligibility:
    * The applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student in a Canadian institution in either an undergraduate, Master's or Ph.D. program during the school year 2023–2024. Students who are Canadian citizens but are studying outside of Canada are also eligible.
    * Published papers are eligible for the competition only if their first submission date is after the previous year's CORS Annual Conference, i.e., after May 2023.

    Student Categories:
    * Papers co-authored by at least one graduate student - MBA, Master's, or Ph.D. - are welcome to submit to the Open category.
    * Papers where all authors are undergraduate students may be submitted to either category, Open or Undergraduate.

    Selection Criteria:
    Papers are evaluated based on three criteria:
    * Methodological, theoretical, or computational contributions to OM/OR, or contributions to another field by applying OM/OR-related techniques.
    * Originality.
    * Writing style, clarity, organization, and conciseness of the paper.
