Hello everyone,
Hope you are well and safe.
Given the unusual circumstances, the CMU INFORMS Student Chapter Board has decided not to hold YinzOR 2020. YinzOR has been a signature event of our chapter that brings together doctoral students interested in Operations Research and Management Science from prominent universities around the world to facilitate interaction and collaboration with peers. Being a conference of the students, by the students and for the students, YinzOR has gained significant traction in the OR/MS community with its ever-expanding network since 2017. We are very proud of organizing YinzOR 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Beyond being a research conference, YinzOR serves as a platform for students to discuss their ideas with peers, form collaborations and expand their networks. Since we could not envision an inclusive social gathering with a virtual conference, we are sad to announce the cancellation of YinzOR 2020.
Our dedication to YinzOR has not changed and we look forward to coming back with YinzOR 2021 next year. Until then, stay tuned with the news from our chapter and hope to see you in the future YinzORs!
