The Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida invites applications for a full-time tenure track appointment at the Assistant Professor level in the Industrial Engineering area effective August 15, 2020. Salary, teaching load and research support are commensurate with those of other major research institutions.
Qualifications
Candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science, or related field. Candidates must also have a strong commitment to high-quality research and excellent teaching. We welcome applications from individuals with research interests in the broad domains of data analytics & data-driven decision-making, stochastic optimization, Big Data Informatics and Cybersecurity, Sustainable Resilient and Smart Systems, Healthcare Analytics, and Systems Optimization. The likely teaching responsibilities involve advanced probability & statistics, dynamic programming, data analytics, and operations research at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Responsibilities of this position include developing a strong externally-funded research program and a commitment to excellence in teaching.
