INFORMS is deeply saddened to share the passing of Judith Liebman, a pillar in the field of operations research, and a long time INFORMS member and namesake of the INFORMS Judith Liebman Award. In addition to serving as the first female president of the Operations Research Society of America (ORSA), she is recognized as a pivotal figure in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education and made tremendous strides for women in the industry.
