    We seek applicants for the position of Assistant Collegiate Professor, Assistant Professor of Practice, or Instructor in the Business Information Technology (BIT) Department in Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business.

    Job Description

    Duties will include teaching information technology (IT), business analytics, supply chain management, or cybersecurity courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. The teaching load will be 9-12 credit hours per semester. Other duties may include participation in departmental committees, and activities including advising and mentoring students as assigned by the department head. Occasional travel may be required to attend professional meetings and conferences.  Applicants are asked to submit a curriculum vitae, evidence of excellence in teaching, a teaching statement, a diversity statement and contact information for three references.


    Required Qualifications

    Master's degree in business administration, business analytics, supply chain management, information technology (IT) or related field; job-related experience in IT, cybersecurity, analytics or supply chain; effective communication skills.


    Preferred Qualifications

    Ph.D. in supply chain, management science, IS or IT-related field. Professional certifications in IT, analytics, cybersecurity or supply chain management.


    Additional Information

    The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check as well as documentation of COVID-19 vaccination.
