Doing Good with Good OR - Student Paper Competition is held each year to identify and honor outstanding projects in the field of operations research and management sciences (prescriptive analytics) conducted by a student or student group that have a significant societal impact.
Projects must have a significant societal impact while using operations research and management science methods and tools and must have been implemented in practice. Attention will be given to projects that include innovative methods and address implementation challenges. "Societal impact" should be construed to mean an impact on individuals, communities and organizations that goes beyond that associated with private-sector for-profit initiatives.
Finalists will present their projects at the INFORMS Annual Meeting to be held October 2022 in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA.
