    Please see the attached position announcement for the John W. Barriger III endowed Professorship in the Supply Chain & Analytics (SC&A) Department at the University of Missouri - St. Louis (UMSL).

    The Supply Chain & Analytics (SC&A) Department in the College of Business Administration at the University of Missouri - St. Louis (UMSL) invites applications for the John W. Barriger III Professorship. This is a full-time endowed tenured position at the Full or Associate level. The Barriger Professor will be an established scholar with recognized achievements in research, excellence in teaching (both in academic programs and professional development), and an established record of external funding. The Barriger Professor will also serve as Director of the College's Center for Transportation Studies.

    Applicants should hold a doctoral degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Logistics, Transportation or a related field, and be passionate about applied research. As Director of the Center for Transportation Studies, key responsibilities include establishing a stream of external funding for applied research (supported by faculty from the College), support of the undergraduate and graduate programs in supply chain management and transportation, and strengthening ties to the regional professional community. The ideal candidate will have the ability to build a nationally prominent center of excellence in the College of Business Administration.  The position requires a strong interest in working with the regional business community, experience in administrative roles in academia, and excellent communication skills. As Director of the Center for Transportation Studies, the individual will engage with the John W. Barriger III National Railroad Library Board of Trustees.
