    University College Dublin invites applications for a planned permanent position of Assistant Professor in Management at the UCD School of Business, with teaching interest and expertise in the area of management of projects and/or supply chains . The successful candidate will teach project management and/or supply chain management at the graduate level, but their research interest and expertise can be in any area of management or organizational studies.

    The successful candidate will contribute to the following areas and will have a track record of:

    Research:
    The School places a strong emphasis on research leading to publication in international, peer-reviewed academic journals and in leading debate in the academic and public space. The candidate should have established a track record in conducting research in management of projects or cognate fields such as supply chain management or organizational studies with publications in international, peer-evaluated journals in these specific fields or other management fields. Interdisciplinary research is also welcome.

    Teaching and Learning: 
    The candidate should have experience and/or interest in teaching in the specialized Master's programmes in Project Management and/or Supply Chain Management as well as in other educational programs of the school. Each Subject Area makes a significant contribution to the School's undergraduate and postgraduate teaching including in particular our Undergraduate programmes – the BComm, the BComm (International), and our Bachelor of Business in Law, our wide range of specialist masters programmes, the MBA, Executive Education, and the PhD programmes.

    Strategic Development & The School:
    In conjunction with the College Principal and Dean of the School of Business, Associate Deans & Subject Area head, appointees will contribute to the strategic development of the School - including the formulation, implementation and execution of policies to develop the School's academic and strategic potential.

    Administration: 
    S/he will also assume appropriate administrative and managerial duties, normally expected of colleagues at Assistant Professor level and fostering collegiality within the School.

    The Management Subject Area at UCD is the largest of the subject areas in the School of Business.
