Call for Participation - REMINDER
2022 Material Handling Teachers Institute

Are you teaching or planning to teach material handling, facility layout/design/logistics, operations, or a supply chain related course? Are you interested in an event-filled week of learning, mentoring, networking, and tours? If so, apply to attend the 2022 Material Handling Teachers Institute (MHTI) sponsored by the College Industry Council on Material Handling Education (CICMHE) and hosted by the University of Buffalo. This will be a fully in person event.
Designed for faculty and doctoral students with all levels of experience who are directly involved (or will soon be involved) in teaching one of the above specified fields. The activities at the 2022 MHTI are designed to promote the teaching skills required for undergraduate and graduate level courses and provide:
- A wide range of academic and industry presentations and learning modules
- Mentoring by an experienced expert in the field
- Plant tours
- Social activities
- Opportunity to interact with colleagues and share course designs, teaching methods, case studies, textbooks, software, and more.
Through the generous funding provided by MHI, the onsite expenses of all attendees will be paid including:
- Hotel*
- Meals during the program
- Onsite transportation
- All sponsored tours
- Social events
(*Attendees are required to pay their own airfare and transportation to the hotel, as well as the expenses of a spouse or any accompanying guests.)
Participant Requirements: the events of MHTI 2022 will begin around 6 PM Sunday, August 7 and will end the evening of Wednesday, August 10 (Wednesday night hotel room will be paid). Participants must agree to attend the full event to ensure that all attendees benefit from a fully immersive experience. Late arrivals or early departures diminish the quality of the event for all attendees. International attendees are welcome.
