ASSISTANT OR ASSOCIATE TEACHING PROFESSOR OF OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
The Information Systems and Operations Management (ISOM) Department in the University of Washington Michael G. Foster School of Business invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure eligible position as Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor in Operations Management with an anticipated start date in September 2021. Teaching faculty have an annual service period of nine months (9/16-6/15) and are eligible for renewal. Salary is competitive. Rank and salary offered is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The Foster School of Business https://foster.uw.edu is ranked among the top business schools in the country and serves a diverse, multicultural population of faculty, staff and approximately 3,000 students. The ISOM Department offers courses in Information Systems, Operations Management and Quantitative Methods in Foster's Undergraduate, MBA, Executive MBA, Specialty Masters and Ph.D. programs. University of Washington teaching faculty engage in teaching and service. The successful candidate will be expected to teach graduate as well as undergraduate level courses in Statistics, Operations and Supply Chain Management as well as related courses (e.g., Quantitative Methods) to a diverse and multicultural student body. They will be expected to actively participate in service to the department, school, and university, and to promote a diverse and inclusive community of faculty, staff, and students. Qualifications:
Requires a masters degree (or foreign equivalent) in one of the following fields: Business Administration, Operations Management, Operations Research, Management Science, or related field (including but not limited to Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Economics, or Statistics). A doctoral degree in one of the listed fields (or foreign equivalent) is also acceptable.
Prior teaching experience at the postsecondary level is required. Applicants should have a minimum of one year teaching experience in one of the relevant fields mentioned above.
