    Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer and Lecturer Positions at the University of New South Wales Business School

    The School of Information Systems and Technology Management at the University of New South Wales Business School invites applications for two positions: one tenured position at the level of Associate Professor in Business Analytics or Information Systems and one tenure-track position at the level of either Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Business Analytics or Information Systems.

    Applications for the appointment of an Associate Professor should have an outstanding record of research and scholarship and demonstrated leadership and research expertise in Business Analytics or Information Systems. An Associate Professor is expected to make a significant contribution to all activities of the organisational unit or interdisciplinary area and play a significant role within their profession or discipline. A Lecturer/Senior Lecturer is expected to carry out activities to enhance their scholarly research while also making an important contribution to education at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. While the Lecturer/Sr. Lecturer position is a 5-year appointment, the contract converts to a continuing role after receiving tenure.

    The School of Information Systems & Technology Management at the UNSW Business School comprises over 20 full-time academics who are actively engaged in teaching and research. Our research is positioned at the forefront of the discipline and has well developed local and international linkages.

    About the successful applicant for Lecturer/Senior Lecturer

    To be successful in this role you will have:

    • A PhD degree in either Information Systems; Business Analytics; Operations Management or a closely-related business field;
    • Experience of teaching technology (programming, database, security, networking) or business analytics courses would be a distinct advantage;
    • Demonstrated excellence (or potential) for publishing in leading journals (e.g., FT50);
    • Experience teaching business analytics courses or teaching technology (programming, database, security, networking) would be a distinct advantage;
    • Expected or demonstrated ability for teaching innovation and curriculum development in Business Analytics at both undergraduate and/or postgraduate level is essential

     

    Salary

    • Lecturer $103,047 - $121,478 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading
    • Senior Lecturer $125,160 - $143,593 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading
    • Associate Professor $149,736 - $164,475 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading
