The faculty in ISE at NC State invite applications for one or more tenure-track faculty positions. It is anticipated that at least one position is at the assistant professor level, although applicants may be considered for appointment at Associate/Full rank based on experience. Candidates are expected to have a PhD degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field. Applications will be considered in any area related to ISE including interdisciplinary ones with additional interests as outlined. We are especially seeking applicants with expertise in (i) data science and analytics (e.g., a methodology background in optimization with application areas related to any broadly of interest to ISE); (ii) sustainability (e.g., with focus in supply chain systems or other ISE areas); or (iii) emerging areas in ISE such as digital manufacturing, interface of health and environment, artificial intelligence, humans and technology, or others. We are particularly interested in candidates who have demonstrated experience engaging with diversity such as fostering an inclusive environment, working with students from diverse backgrounds, or incorporating diverse perspectives in research.
