Dear ORMS students,
The CMU INFORMS Student Chapter proudly invites you to YinzOR 2019 Student Conference, to be held at the The David A. Tepper Quadrangle, Carnegie Mellon University on Friday and Saturday, August 23-24, 2019. YinzOR, sponsored by FedEx, Mckinsey & Company, Simio and the Tepper School of Business, is a single-track conference that brings together PhD students studying OR, OM, IE, ChemE, CS and related areas, to facilitate interaction and collaboration with peers.

Talks
We are pleased to have speakers from Carnegie Mellon University, Bucknell University, University of Chicago, Cornell University, Columbia University, Georgia Institute of Technology and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Poster Competition & Flash Talks
We are hosting a poster competition open to all PhD students in related fields (Friday, August 23). The panel of judges for the poster session will consist of faculty members. The top three poster presenters will win cash prizes: $500 1st place, $300 2nd place, $200 3rd place. In addition, we have People's Choice Award with $200! If you are interested in presenting a poster, please sign up via the Poster Competition form.
We are also introducing a fun-event, Flash Talks, where selected speakers give 5-min talks without using certain "taboo words". Please send an extended abstract of your work via the Flash Talk form if you wish to participate. Top three presenters each receives a cash prize of $70.
Thanks to our generous sponsors, we will provide free hotel accommodation to Out-of-city Poster Competition & Flash Talks participants on a first-submit-first-serve basis! In addition, we will reimburse up to $50 for poster printing expenses.
