    Columbia DRO Postdoctoral Award

    Apply to spend one to two years as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist/Scholar in the Decision, Risk and Operations (DRO) Division at Columbia Business School.  Columbia Business School is seeking highly qualified applicants for the Columbia DRO Postdoctoral Award with the aim goal of finding one to two awardees.  The Columbia DRO Postdoctoral Award recognizes the research accomplishments of recent PhDs and provide a supportive research environment to foster that talent.  The aim is to select a highly qualified candidate in order to bring in top scholars to collaborate on research projects of mutual interest with faculty in the Decision, Risk and Operations Division at Columbia Business School, a world leader in research in quantitative, data-driven decision-making through the use of modeling, optimization and the management of uncertainty.  The Postdoctoral Awardee will have the freedom to explore and design their own research agenda. The position requires someone with a strong background in operations, engineering, statistics, economics, and/or related fields. This year, we are particularly interested in applicants with backgrounds in applied OM and/or empirical OM, but encourage all interested applicants to apply. 

    The position is available for a period of one or two years, depending on the desires of the candidate. Applicants should submit a cover letter describing their research interests and accomplishments, C.V., a writing sample, and at least two letters of recommendation. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. To receive full consideration, please submit your application no later than March 20, 2020. Applicants should indicate two or three faculty members with whom they would be most interested in working with in the DRO Division at Columbia Business School.
