    Dear IOS Members: 

    This is the second call for the four annual IOS prizes. We seek nominations (including self-nominations) for each prize, due by June 15, 2017.     Khachiyan Prize (for outstanding lifetime contributions )

    Farkas Prize (for a mid-career researcher)
    • Committee Chair: Margaret Wright (mhw@cims.nyu.edu)

    Young Researchers Prize  (one or more young researchers -within 8 years of their most recent degree- for an outstanding paper) 

    • Committee Chair:  Michael Ferris (ferris@cs.wisc.edu) 
    • Committee members: Jonathan Eckstein, Simge Küçükyavuz, Suvrajeet Sen

    Student Paper Prize (Every nominee/applicant must be a student on the first of January of the year of the award.)

    • Committee Chair: Vineet Goyal (vgoyal@ieor.columbia.edu)
    • Committee Members: Kiavash Kianfar, Javier Peña, Ermin Wei
    Each of the four awards includes a cash prize of US $1,000 and a citation plaque. The award winners will be invited to give a presentation in a special session sponsored by the Optimization Society during the INFORMS annual meeting in Houston, TX in October 2017.
