The Operations & Information Management (OIM) Department of the Isenberg School of Management at University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position, non-tenure track, in Information Systems and Project Management to start in September 2022. The initial appointment will be for two years, with renewal based on performance. The Lecturer will join a team of faculty noted for excellence and innovation in undergraduate and graduate education. The successful candidate will work with faculty, teaching assistants, and advising staff to assess student outcomes and foster student success.
Candidates must have a doctoral degree in Information Systems (IS) or a related discipline, such as Operations Management or Computer Science, by September 1, 2022. This full-time position requires teaching six course sections per academic year. Teaching responsibilities include courses in Information Systems and Project Management, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and other IS courses as needed. Teaching experience or evidence of expertise in project management, and proficiency in Microsoft Project and Tableau are required. Expertise in data modeling, database management systems, structured query language (SQL), enterprise resource planning, and data warehouses is desirable. Demonstrated ability, or potential, to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels in face-to-face and distance education formats is required.
