    The Industrial Engineering program in the Ingram School of Engineering at Texas State University invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position to begin in Fall 2023. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an externally funded research program in their areas of expertise, exhibit a strong commitment to student-centered teaching and mentoring at undergraduate and graduate levels, participate in curriculum and program development, and perform university and professional service.

    Required qualifications:

    • Ph.D. in industrial engineering, or a closely related discipline. Degree at time of application or official notification of expected completion of the doctoral degree by July 31, 2023.
    • Research competence evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed journals and refereed conference proceedings.
    • Record of teaching experience.
    • Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication.

     

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Expertise in machine learning, data science, simulation, reliability/quality, or operations research with applications, such as healthcare, transportation, smart manufacturing, supply chain, and energy, among others.
    • Postdoctoral and/or industrial experience.
    • Demonstrated experience in writing and securing grants and contracts.
    • An ability to work collaboratively with faculty across multiple programs and departments.
    • Experience teaching and mentoring students in academic environments with a diverse population.
    • Prior experience as an instructor or teaching assistant for capstone design courses.
    • Knowledgeable about ABET accreditation procedures and deliverables.

    5. e)   List of courses taught, indicating lapses of time and if as Instructor of Record or under another role.

    5)   List of three references.

     

    The selected candidate will be required to provide official transcripts from all degree-granting universities.
