The Center for Energy, Environmental, and Economic System Analysis at Argonne National Laboratory (http://ceeesa.es.anl.gov) is looking to hire multiple summer interns with strong capabilities in optimization and stochastic modeling. The interns will work on a range of projects with applications to energy and power systems. Potential projects include, understanding strategic generator behavior in electricity markets, optimizing the integration of renewable energy into the bulk power system, analyzing the role of grid-scale energy storage and electric vehicle integration in power systems, and other issues related to the energy-water nexus. Interns will be expected to perform independent research, must have scientific writing skills, and should be currently enrolled in an advanced degree program in engineering, operations research, mathematics, computer science or another comparable technical field.
Interested applicants should send their CV directly to Zhi Zhou, zzhou@anl.gov .
