Dear MSOM Society Members:
Our last survey shows that 70% (52/74) of the respondents will not attend the MSOM Business Meeting in-person. Given the scarcity of the Hybrid room, we have decided to host the Business Meeting virtually.
INFORMS schedules society meetings on Monday evening, but that won't work for many of our community members in other time zones. Thus, we will use Monday evening to host an in-person reception and congratulate to awardees who can be there. We will send out a survey separately to get a headcount.
There isn't a feasible time for everyone to attend the Business Meeting, but we try to allow as many people as possible to attend. If the time below is inconvenient or does not work for you, we apologize and thank you for your understanding. Your flexibility is much appreciated and the Business Meeting will be recorded and made available to all.
The MSOM Business Meeting will be held on Monday October 25 Pacific time 6:30 am – 7:45 am. This implies the following earth times:
North/South America: Morning
Europe & Africa: afternoon
Asia: evening
Australia: (very) late evening
To increase audience engagement and facilitate conversations, we plan to host the Business Meeting using Large Zoom Meeting instead of Webinar.
