Dear Colleagues:
The M&SOM Journal's inaugural OM Practice Problem Seminar was organized last week on Wednesday May 4th. It focused on challenges related to the operations of pooled procurement facing global health organizations, and included presentations by Aurélia Nguyen (Managing Director of COVAX Facility hosted by GAVI), Brenda Waning (Chief of Global Drug Facility within the UN's StopTB Partnership) and Prashant Yadav (Senior Fellow, Center for Global Development and Affiliate Professor in Technology and Operations Management, INSEAD). The seminar's archival page on the journal website is located here, and the YouTube channel that has been set up in order to facilitate the related post-seminar moderated online discussion that will be open and monitored for the next month by the seminar presenters is located here.
We hope that this initiative will motivate some members of our academic community to consider research opportunities in this area.
