Dear Colleagues,
We invite you to the special session of the 2020 INFORMS Case Competition on Sunday, November 8th, from 1:15pm to 2:30pm EST (SA11). Three finalists will present novel teaching cases:
- "Machine Learning, Ethics and Change Management: A Data-Driven Approach to Improving Hospital Observation Unit Operations" by Keely Dwyer-Matzky, Dessislava Pachamanova, and Vera Tilson
- "Ventilator Rationing During the COVID-19 Pandemic" by Will Ma
- "Maximizing Team Diversity in the Praxis Course at the University of Toronto" by Daria Terekhov, Daniel Frances, Derya Demirtas, and Timothy C.Y Chan
Congratulations to the finalists. The winner will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, November 11th at 6pm.
The INFORMS Case Competition committee this year consists of Jeroen Belien (KU Leuven), Amy Cohn (University of Michigan), Amr Farahat (MIT, committee chair), Vishal Gupta (University of Southern California), and Julie Ivy (North Carolina State).
