    The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary invites applications for up to two continuing appointments in Operations and Supply Chain Management at the level of tenure-track Assistant Professor, Associate Professor with Tenure, or Professor with Tenure. Applications are encouraged in any related field such as Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Operations, Logistics and Transportation, Energy and Sustainability, and Service Operations Management. The appointment will commence on July 1, 2020, with the option to negotiate a January 1, 2021 start date.

    Candidates must have:

    • A completed (or close to be completed) doctorate degree in operations management, supply chain management, operations research, management science, industrial engineering, or another closely related field
    • A strong record of research commensurate with the professorial rank desired
    • A demonstrated capability in graduate- or undergraduate-level teaching and willingness to undertake graduate student supervision
    • A demonstrated willingness to provide service to the university and to interact with the business community in operations and supply chain management and business analytics.

    The Haskayne School of Business is growing in graduate programs in Business Analytics and Supply Chain Management. The successful candidate is expected to teach in these new initiatives. Research support is offered to all new faculty hires. The Haskayne School of Business strives to create a diverse and equitable work environment in gender and ethnicity.

    Applicants at the Assistant Professor rank must have completed their doctorate degree or must be close to completion by the position start date and provide a research plan for the upcoming five years.

    Applicants at the Associate Professor rank must have a minimum of four years of experience in an academic position focused in an area related to operations and/or supply chain management, provide evidence that the individual is an excellent scholar with a rich research portfolio that includes publications in top peer-reviewed academic journals, and provide evidence of teaching effectiveness in a post-secondary institution.

    Applicants at the Full Professor rank must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in an academic position focused in an area related to operations and/or supply chain management, provide evidence that the individual is an excellent scholar with a rich research portfolio that includes publications in top peer-reviewed academic journals, provide evidence of high quality personnel training and effective teaching, and provide evidence that the individual can create collaborations with businesses and industry to raise funds to support research centers and student experiences.
