Autonomous Vehicles and Vehicle Control

The Faculty of Engineering Sciences at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev invites applications from outstanding individuals for a full time tenure track position, in all ranks, in the area of Autonomous Vehicles and Vehicle Control, focusing specifically on theoretical and experimental practical problems.
We seek outstanding academic with a passion for the field of Autonomous Vehicles and Vehicle Control and engineering and the proven capacity to develop a vibrant research program and translate it into a challenging and innovative teaching curricula.
The successful candidate will be affiliated with one of the academic departments in the Faculty of Engineering Sciences. He/she will be expected to conduct an internationally recognized, independent, and externally funded research program in autonomous vehicles while supervising graduate students and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Hebrew and English in his/her affiliated department and provide service to the department, the university, and the profession
Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is a comprehensive, research-extensive university with an enrollment of over 20,000 students and 850 faculty members. It is nationally and internationally recognized for its interdisciplinary research and educational programs in the traditional and emerging areas of applied and basic sciences.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. from an internationally recognized institution and have a record of scholarly achievement commensurate with the rank at which the person will be hired.
Successful applicants are expected to have:
- Experience and expertise in developing autonomous vehicles research.
- Excellent command of the Hebrew and English languages.
- Excellent didactic qualities and enthusiasm for teaching, supervising and working with students.
- Strong publication record.
- Exceptional interest in collaborative and interdisciplinary efforts.
