Our thoughts are with those affected by Hurricane Harvey and the unprecedented rain and flooding impacting Houston. We extend our wishes for their safety through this ordeal.
For those of you not in Houston, know that we are closely monitoring the situation there not only to determine its impact on the INFORMS 2017 Annual Meeting but also for ways we can contribute and help.
The meeting is still scheduled for Houston October 22-25. We are cautiously optimistic that it will be able to go forward as planned. Based on news reports, the meeting venues are intact. Because emergency conditions continue, we don't expect to be able to verify the venue status until the first week of September. We will provide updates as quickly as possible to ensure all can plan accordingly.
