    We are seeking applicants with expertise in data analytics science, including application of domain knowledge for “big data” problems as well as linking data analytics to advanced statistical inference and decision making. Priority will be given to individuals with domain knowledge in one or more of the following areas (1) Information Technology and Data Science, (2) Quality Engineering, (3) Financial Engineering, although individuals with domain knowledge in any of the department’s other areas of concentration are also considered.

    The Director of Undergraduate Programs serves as the face of the department representing the department to internal and external constituencies including the coordination of industrial relations, Open House (university and college), departmental visits, and educational outreach for K-12 audiences. In this role, the Director administers the undergraduate program including the Minor and is expected to teach a range of undergraduate and graduate courses including capstone senior design; schedule courses; advise, mentor, and recruit students into the department; and assist in communications and marketing efforts of the department.

    The Department is seeking an established authority in health systems engineering, with emphasis on the broad connections to medical decisions, diagnosis, and therapy as well as health care operations.

    The holder of the Allison Professorship will provide leadership in the development of research and academic programs in health systems engineering, assist in mentoring of junior faculty, participate in interdisciplinary activities, and support the Health Systems Engineering Certificate Program. The health systems engineering area is one of three major departmental thrusts through the Fitts endowment. The Department seeks applicants who can help integrate this field of study more into our education and research programs.
