    Area of Research
    Applications are invited for a postdoctoral fellow position in Operations and Supply Chain Management at Ted Rogers School of Management, Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The duration of the postdoctoral fellow position is one year with the possibility of renewal for the second year depending on budget availability. The appointee will take part in various research activities in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, and Operations Research. In addition, the appointee will work with Dr. Hossein Zolfagharinia (Global Management Studies Department), and Dr. Saman Hassanzadeh Amin (Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering) at Ryerson University.

    Responsibilities
    The appointee will investigate transportation networks as a whole, and road transportation in remanufacturing and reverse logistics in particular. The appointee is expected to lead each stage of the investigation (i.e., data collection and analyses, modeling, developing solution algorithms, manuscript preparation, conference presentations, etc.).

    Qualifications
    The applicant must have a Ph.D. degree in Operations and Supply Chain Management, Management Science, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related discipline before the start date. Research experience in optimizing transportation networks, reverse logistics, remanufacturing, and recovery processes is highly desirable. Candidates with the following skills are preferred: 1) Discrete event simulation using Arena, Simul8, or Witness software packages; 2) Optimization under uncertainty including stochastic programming, robust optimization, chance-constrained programming, and fuzzy programming; 3) C/C++/CPLEX programming skills; and 4) familiarity with game theory approaches is a plus. Other considerations are:
     Earned a first doctorate from a recognized university no earlier than September 2014 (date all degree requirements were completed, not the date of graduation), or have completed a first doctorate no earlier than September 2011, but have since had their career interrupted or delayed for the purpose of maternity, childrearing, illness, or health-related family responsibilities.
     Not hold a tenure or tenure-track faculty position.

    Anticipated Start Date
    May 15, 2017. Applications received by April 15, 2017 will be given full consideration. However, the review of applications will continue until the position is filled. International applicants are welcome to apply. However, in accordance with the Canadian Immigration regulations, applications from Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be given priority.
