Call for nominations and self nominations: Editorial Advisory Board Members

We are excited to announce a new book series to be jointly administered by INFORMS and Springer, with Golbon Zakeri as the Series Editor. This series will provide an avenue for authors to develop and publish work in a co-branded series of publications resulting from workshops, conferences, courses, schools, seminars, prize-winning studies, and research activities. There will be particular emphasis on work carried out in the disciplines of operations research, financial engineering, management science, and data science (where Springer already has established book series).

The Editorial Board will be responsible for identifying and handling book proposals for this book series. INFORMS-approved volumes will be routed to the appropriate Springer Book Series for approval by the appropriate Springer Book Series Editor.

    Expectations:

We are looking for editors in diverse areas of broader Operations Research. Each editor is expected to communicate with their scholarly communities and help to

    • Identify book proposals for evaluation by Springer,
    • Provide feedback to authors on needed stylistic and content revisions prior to consideration by Springer
    • For those proposals to be recommended, work effectively with the Editorial Board to identify suitable reviewers for the proposal and communicate these to the Series Editor at Springer
    • Conduct a final approval for manuscripts deemed suitable by Springer.
    • We anticipate the related workload to be relatively minimal, approximately 20 hours per year.

Please send your CVs along with an email of interest to Golbon Zakeri: gzakeri@umass.edu by February 25th 2022.
