The OR Society is looking to extend the editorial team for the society's flagship journal, the Journal of The OR Society (JORS), which is currently edited by Tom Archibald and Jonathan Crook. There is a team of over ten associated editors in place (with a possible four more to be recruited during the first half of the year). Any appointed editor will be required to become a member of the Society, if they are not already. An honorarium is paid to the editor(s).
The appointment is for an initial five years, potentially renewable for a second period, and there are plans for a transitional period. This is important to be able to meet the expectations of authors and to continue to meet review times and develop services for the authors. The number of submissions is over 1000 articles annually, with articles submitted and managed through ScholarOne.
