    Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Operations

The Department of Operations invites applicants for a tenure-track position of Assistant Professor (or possibly Associate Professor of Operations) to begin August 2020. We seek a faculty member with a research focus in Operations and Supply Chain Management (broadly construed) with strong theoretical training, and interests in empirical research. Candidates with a research focus in Service Operations Management-for example, healthcare-are desirable. All candidates should have a Ph.D. or expect to complete a Ph.D. in the near future in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or a related field. The candidate should be able to teach and communicate effectively with undergraduates, students in our MBA program, and students in our master's program (MSM) in Operations Research and Supply Chain Management and Business Analytics. Having business experience, coursework, or other appropriate background to which business students would relate would be a plus.

The Department has a long and distinguished history and granted the first Ph.D. in operations research. The Weatherhead School's MBA and Undergraduate programs are nationally well ranked. The University is ten minutes from downtown Cleveland with world-class cultural venues within walking distance and excellent residential areas close by.

Applicants should e-mail a resume, copies of research papers, any evidence of teaching effectiveness (course evaluations, for example) and should also arrange for at least three letters of reference to be sent electronically to Ms. Pamela White at oprerecruitment@case.edu.
