    Dear Colleagues,

    We invite you all to attend the 2018 SMA Best Student Paper Award for the INFORMS Social Media Analytics Section at the INFORMS annual conference in Phoenix. The award session has four presentations which will take place on Sunday morning, Nov 4th, 11am-12:30pm in North 231C. The awards will be announced at the SMA business meeting on Monday at 6:15pm-8:00pm in North 231C. We invite you all to attend our business meeting as well. Please come and enjoy free beer and food.

    Our finalists and the titles of their presentation are listed as the following. 

    1. Nicolas Guenon des Mesnards, "Detecting Influence Campaigns in Social Networks Using the Ising Model", Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
    2. Shuang Li, "Detecting changes in dynamic events over networks", Georgia Institute of Technology.
