Dear Colleagues,
Please mark your calendars for the sixth annual conference in the series on Network Science and Economics. The conference will take place from March 27-29, 2020 at the Gleacher Center of the University of Chicago (in downtown Chicago, on the north bank of the river) and is sponsored by the National Science Foundation, with additional support from the Booth School and the Becker Friedman Institute of the University of Chicago.
The first day - Friday, March 27 - will be a one-track special theme session entitled
"Networked Markets."
We especially encourage submissions within this theme. The remaining days will run with parallel sessions on all topics in the series' broader theme of networks in economics.
The deadline for all submissions is January 10, 2020. Papers should be submitted via email to
networksciecon@gmail.com
. Please indicate whether you are submitting for the first day special theme session, or the open conference. A preliminary program will be announced by February 15, 2020. No conference proceedings will be published.
While extended abstracts are acceptable, full papers are encouraged. Young scholars are particularly encouraged to submit papers. We have some funding for grad students, post docs and junior faculty who do not have other research support to cover their travel.
Please visit the
conference website
for additional information and updates.
This conference is part of an NSF-sponsored series entitled "Network Science in Economics."
Please feel free to circulate this announcement.
Best regards,
Ozan Candogan (local organizer)
Arun Chandrasekhar, Ben Golub, Matt Jackson, and Sudipta Sarangi (conference series organizers)
