I'm excited to tell you about a one-and-half day workshop at the University of Iowa for advanced PhD students and postdocs. Our goal is to demystify academic careers in business analytics and help participants prepare for the job market and careers in this field. We particularly want to encourage women, students from underrepresented groups, and students from departments outside business schools to apply.
Our website is now up (https://tippie.uiowa.edu/FutureBAProf), and students can apply online. All accepted applicants will attend for FREE including air travel. The only restriction is that students are at a U.S. institution. Applications are due April 30.
The workshop will be held in Iowa City from August 14 (opening reception) – August 16 (day of departure). Participants will have opportunities to learn more about what research falls in business analytics departments, practice networking with business analytics faculty, and get expert job search advice.
