The Department of Industrial Engineering welcomes application for a full-time tenure track faculty position.
1. Profile
Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering or related areas, and research experience in Supply Chain Management and/or Operations Research. Experts in other related fields are welcome to apply.
We particularly invite applicants with experience as main researcher or co-researcher in publicly funded and peer reviewed research projects related to the subject of the research area.
The applicants must also demonstrate experience in teaching, possess scientific productivity and/or technologic productivity demonstrated through publications and/or patents or any other procedure of intellectual property.
We value applicants with leadership skills and abilities to work in both multi and interdisciplinary groups, and with advanced proficiency of the English language.
Spanish is not required at the time of application but is expected to become one of the languages of teaching by the end of the second year. We will provide up to 6 months of free Spanish tutoring.
2. Teaching activities
Selected candidates must teach undergraduate and graduate courses related to their domain.
3. Research activities
Selected candidates must promote research in Production Systems, Manufacturing and/or Operations Research and furthermore must lead research and development of projects with public or industry funding.
4. Application requirements
a. Curriculum Vitae up to date.
b. A copy of the doctorate degree certificate.
c. Two recommendation letters.
d. A letter from the applicant stating his or her interest in working with us, scientific career path and academic work proposal to be developed (one-page max).
The preselected applicants will be subject to interview with occupational psychologist and academic committee.
