The Center for Energy, Environmental, and Economic System Analysis at Argonne National Laboratory (http://ceeesa.es.anl.gov) <g class="gr_ gr_11 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar multiReplace" id="11" data-gr-id="11">is</g> looking to hire summer interns with strong capabilities in operations research and an interest in power systems engineering and energy economics.
The interns will work on a range of projects within energy and power systems. Potential projects include analyzing the role of energy storage and electric vehicle integration in power systems (transmission and distribution level), investigating the integration of renewable energy into the bulk power system, and application of new algorithms for weather and energy data analytics.
Interns will be expected to perform independent research, must have good scientific writing skills, and should be currently enrolled in an advanced degree program in engineering, operations research, mathematics, computer science or another comparable technical field.
