    Applications are invited for a full-time 9-month tenure-track assistant or associate professor position in the Business Administration Department (position #102660) with a concentration in Management/Organizational Behavior and the ability to teach Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Entrepreneurship, SAP, Six Sigma, and continuing education classes for veteran entrepreneurs. The initial appointment is anticipated to start in August 2022 subject to funding availability. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

     

    Candidates will have a Ph.D., or a comparable doctorate in Management, Organizational Behavior, Business Analytics, Decision Science, Information Systems, Management Science, Operations Management, Operations Research, or a closely related discipline, from an AACSB accredited institution at the time of appointment. ABD candidates must provide strong evidence that their doctoral degree will be completed prior to August 2022. In addition to educational background, candidates must demonstrate the potential to pursue a balanced commitment to excellent teaching, productive research, and active professional and community service. Candidates must meet AACSB accreditation standards. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

     

    Preferred candidates will have teaching experience in related fields supported by evidence of teaching excellence and proven effectiveness in development and teaching of face-to-face and online courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. Experience with utilizing high impact practices and assessment of learning goals is strongly desired. The successful candidate will provide evidence of research quality and demonstrate the potential for developing and sustaining an impactful research program. Professional experience in relevant fields, involvement with community engaged learning, experience working with military veterans, and success in developing cooperative programs/initiatives with industry are considered strong assets. A track record of high-quality scholarly publications, teaching excellence, and service to academic and professional communities is required for appointment at the rank of associate professor.

     

    This position requires teaching online and face-to-face courses at the undergraduate and graduate level in one or more areas of Management, Organizational Behavior, SAP, Six Sigma, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Decision Analysis, Information Systems, Entrepreneurship, and Information Security Management. In addition to teaching and conducting research, successful candidates will be required to serve on departmental, college and university committees, and participate in accreditation-related assessment activities. The position may require teaching at other campuses of the university as part of degree-granting or corporate partnership training programs. Opportunities for summer support are normally available. Opportunities also exist for faculty to teach abroad at UWF partner schools.

     

    The College of Business is AACSB accredited with over 1800 students enrolled in thirteen undergraduate majors and two masters programs. The main campus of The University of West Florida is located in Pensacola, the crown jewel of Florida's beautiful Emerald Coast, known worldwide for its pristine white-sand beaches.
