The 2017 INFORMS Business Analytics Conference to be held this coming spring in Las Vegas will feature a special day long event for a select group of practice-oriented analytics and operations research graduate students. The INFORMS Professional Colloquium (IPC), scheduled for Sunday, April 2, will provide students nominated by their departments and competitively selected with an opportunity to interact with and receive valuable career advice from seasoned practitioners. While generous support from IPC sponsors will defray a portion of the cost to attend (e.g., 2016 attendees received $700 each), additional funding from students' departments will be needed. Plan now to nominate one or more students from your department and allocate corresponding funding in your departmental budget.
