Dear colleagues,

We are happy to announce that the 2022 Early-Career Sustainable Operations Workshop will be held on February 25 – 27, 2022 at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. The workshop aims to provide research presentation and networking opportunities (both within academia and with industry) for early-career scholars who work in sustainable OM. Please circulate this call to your colleagues or PhD students who may be interested.

The workshop will follow a hybrid format, so presenters can engage with in-person as well as virtual attendees. There will be a reception on Friday night for in-person attendees, followed by a full day of presentations on Saturday, and then a half day of presentations on Sunday. As in previous years, there will be a registration fee of $100 for all attendees.

The organizing committee this year includes Hamsa Bastani (Penn) and Christian Kaps (Penn); we are grateful for guidance from Safak Yucel (Georgetown), as well as the steering committee, which includes Vishal Agrawal (Georgetown), Atalay Atasu (INSEAD), and Beril Toktay (Georgia Tech). We are inviting junior academics (untenured faculty) and PhD students who are interested in presenting to submit either:

• a working paper to be considered for a full presentation, or
• a 1-pg abstract on an exploratory topic to be considered for a flash talk

The latter category is ideal for individuals who are looking for early feedback or potential collaborators for foraying into a new topic. Please send your materials to 2022SustainableOM@gmail.com by December 10, 2021, noting who will present and whether it will be in-person or virtual; a strong preference will go to presenters who can attend in-person to facilitate better discussion. Notice of acceptances will be sent by January 14, 2022. In addition, all full presentations will be eligible for a "People's Choice Award"; the winner(s) will be decided by crowd voting at the end of the workshop.
