The flexible 2021 INFORMS Annual Meeting, October 24-27 will feature thousands of presentations showcasing the latest research and discoveries that share how O.R. and analytics are saving lives, saving money, and solving problems in so many new and exciting ways. This includes plenary and keynote sessions presented live each day of the meeting. And with both in-person (in Anaheim, CA) and virtual attendance options, this cutting-edge content is available to participants from anywhere in the world!

This year's plenary session lineup includes:

    • Companies such as Airbnb and Uber have fundamentally transformed society with their revolutionary business models. But with these novel new changes come novel new challenges, the solutions to which Martin Savelsbergh, Georgia Tech, will explore in his plenary talk, Challenges and Opportunities in Crowdsourced Delivery Planning and Operations.

    • In his presentation, From Learning to Optimize to Learning to Explore, Yoshua Bengio, University of Montreal, explores alternatives to MCMC models, often used in drug discover and material discovery tasks, based on deep generative models.

    • From the warehouses to the vendors to the hands of the customers, the path of Amazon's inventory is managed every step of the way by optimization models. In his session, Roles of Optimization in Managing Amazon's Supply Chain, Amazon's Huseyin Topaloglu takes attendees behind the scenes of these models and shares his personal experiences working with Amazon.

    • The COVID-19 pandemic brought to light vulnerabilities in our global supply chains, resulting in prolonged shortages of PPE, vaccines, and more. Chris Tang, UCLA, will share his observations and discuss potential steps forward in his session, Improving Supply Chain Resilience: Looking Back and Looking Forward, to improve supply chain resilience.

And with all meeting content remaining accessible online for both in-person and virtual attendees for three months following the meeting, there are no limits to your ability to explore these and thousands of other exciting and thought-provoking sessions.
